life without children

Life without children to me seems pointless. Who wouldn’t want to see a smaller version which is biologically half of them? Although there are several pros to not having children, I personally think that there are more cons. By having children you leave a mark on the world. You have someone who reflects your skills as a parent and by doing so can make you proud or extremely embarrassed. Every child has the potential to do something great like become the president or end world hunger, so why wouldn’t you want to contribute to the world knowing that your own blood could potentially do something great and be remembered for the rest of time? Children also bring joy in life. Their innocence and clumsiness provide nothing but laughter in those around them. There is just something about a baby’s laughter that brings joy into peoples faces. Having a child also has many down sides too. When children become teenagers they become rebellious and begin to test you as a parent and see how much they can get away with. They’ll go to parties, get in trouble, be wild and crazy, and just over all trouble towards their parents. If you don’t have children it also saves lots of money. You have to buy children clothes, food, a home, accessories, electronics, school books, and when they’re older you have to pay for cars, car insurance, college, which by the time they are out of college you will most likely be thousands of dollars in debt, to go along with the thousands you’ve spent throughout their life on all the other necessities. Children can also cause stress on their parents. Alone as babies they will cry, soil themselves, throw up, scream and yell, misbehave, and all sorts of other actions that most people will find obnoxious or annoying. And if you have more than one child they will fight nearly all the time. Most of the time not even for a good reason which can be extremely tiring to listen too as a parent. After a long days work parents do not want to come home to bickering children. They just want to relax and enjoy their time at home until they have to return to work, which can be difficult to do if there are fighting children. But overall it is better to have children. It is our job as humans to ensure that our race continues to go on for years and years to come far after we are all gone. They may involve lots of time, effort, money, and care, but it is most definitely worth knowing that you have given life to a new human who has the chance to do something great in their life, not to mention all the potential fun you can have with them. Children are our future and without them life to me just seems pointless. We need to do our jobs as humans and keep continuing to create life on planet earth.
